Raptor Maps and Skydio are excited to announce the compatibility of the NDAA compliant Skydio X10 with the Raptor Maps solar asset management platform. This partnership creates a new NDAA compliant data capture method for solar customers seeking deep actionable insights on their sites.
Skydio x Raptor Maps
Raptor Maps and Skydio are excited to announce the compatibility of the recently launched Skydio X10 with the Raptor Maps solar asset management platform. This partnership creates a new NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) compliant data capture alternative for solar customers seeking comprehensive and actionable insights on their sites, sophisticated portfolio analytics, and software workflows to enable seamless remediation.
Skydio is a leading U.S.-based drone manufacturer, and their X10 drone is NDAA compliant and offers a variety of sensor packages, including a Boson+ radiometric thermal camera. NDAA compliance indicates that the drone does not include any telecommunication equipment that is not permitted for use in U.S. government and military contexts, and is a standard that some solar owners and operators, particularly regulated utilities, seek out for use on their sites.
Prior to the launch, Raptor Maps partnered with Skydio to conduct testing on a solar farm in California. The Raptor Maps team evaluated the imagery and metadata produced by the Skydio X10 and ensured it has the capacity to capture IEC compliant data compatible with the Raptor Maps solar asset management platform. This partnership enables customers to utilize the Skydio X10 to capture data of their solar farms, and upload that data for analysis and processing in the Raptor Maps platform to receive prioritized anomaly findings, geo-located on an interactive digital model of their sites. They can then utilize the Raptor Maps platform to conduct sophisticated analysis of degradation over time, and bridge the gap between insight and action with seamless workflows to support remediation and warranty claims.
