  1. Upload or sessions: A group of images uploaded to your account using Raptor App in one batch. Typically, this includes all inspection images for a contiguous section of the site that are processed together. E.g., if a site has multiple rooftops at different levels or separated by a parking lot, these must be uploaded as separate sessions.

The web UI helps visualize image locations over satellite image for a quick review of coverage.

  2. Image set: A set of images selected from an upload session for processing the inspection. Most commonly, an image set consists of all images from a session.

Exceptions: when upload session has images captured erroneously, e.g. images outside intended flight boundary, or images captured before the drone reached required altitude. Such images should be excluded during data upload before creating an Image Set.

An inspection can include multiple Image Sets, each resulting into an orthomosaic.

  3. Orthomosaic: An image generated as a result of stitching all the images from an input image set. The orthomosaic represents the aerial view of the site and provides true background for locating equipment anomalies on site.

  4. Obliques: Oblique images of the site supplement the Instant inspection report and can be used to verify string / combiner defects. They also serve as a fallback for site health review if technical limitations result in distorted orthomosaic or inaccurate anomaly detection.
